30 Before 30 List

Today I turned 29, and I'm kind of struggling with it. This is the first birthday I've actually dreaded. What's weird is that I'm not exactly sure why. To help me deal and make the last year of my 20's count, I've created a "30 Before 30" list. Some of these things I've done before, and some I haven't. Some are within my comfort zone, and others are way out of it. Some are specific goals, others are more general. The goal is to push myself and complete them all before my 30th birthday next year. They're all reasonable, budget friendly ideas, and I'm determined to cross them all off! :) So, here they are:

1. Run a ½ marathon - Beat the Blerch!
2. Cook a really fancy meal 
3. Go on a totally spontaneous, spur of the moment weekend trip 
4. Learn to paddleboard 
5. Make an angel food cake from scratch 
6. Compare Jucy Lucys at Matt’s Bar and the 5-8 Club 
7. Give blood 
8. Pay for a stranger’s meal/coffee 
9. Go to a Paint Nite class 
10. Visit a state I’ve never been to  - CA!
    
11. Go to a drive-in movie 
12. Volunteer somewhere, at least twice 
13. Try 7 new foods 
14. Go lawn bowling at Brit’s Pub 
15. Try at least 5 new fitness routines/classes 
16. Make an apple pie from scratch 
17. Post to my blog at least once a week for a year 
18. Do more random acts of kindness for friends and family
19. Be more of a “yes” person 
20. Run 500 total miles in one year 
21. Get another ear piercing or tattoo 
22. Try 10 new restaurants/coffee shops 
23. Put together a 1,000 piece puzzle with no help 
24. Go a full weekend without social media 
25. Adopt a penguin 
26. Get down to my goal weight 
27. Start a journal and write in it at least once a week 
28. Participate in bar trivia
29. Tour a brewery
30. Be more mindful of how I spend money
