Reboot Day #2

This morning I woke up feeling pretty good. I had a very "I can totally do this!" attitude, and was ready to take on the world. Tom and I made a new juice this morning with beets and radishes, and no surprise, I hated it. It literally tasted like I was drinking dirt. I'm quickly realizing that I enjoy the fruit juices more, but unfortunately I can't fast on those alone. Sometimes I really wish I didn't have such stupid taste-buds...

Here's the beet juice recipe:
  • 3 beets
  • 13 radishes
  • 1 tomato
  • 4 carrots
  • 2 stalks of celery
  • 4 cups of parsley
  • 1 jalapeno
We didn't have the parsley or jalapeno

Here's photos of the more delicious fruit juice with raspberries, blueberries, oranges, and this time I added carrots:

Reboot Journal Day #2
  • Weight: 148.8
I'm not going to do the hour-by-hour thing today, because overall, today really sucked. I still felt kind of hazy, and to top it off we had Chipotle for staff lunch. It is extremely difficult to sit with a glass of water, juice, and some fruit while 15 others are enjoying Chipotle deliciousness. I made it through the staff meeting, but ended up sneaking 2 chips later in the afternoon which I thought was impressive because I managed to stop at only 2. I also had an apple around 3 p.m. because my tummy was rumbling.

I don't know what happened after that. We got home, and I was not feeling the whole "juice fast" thing - it was kind of like a light bulb clicking on all of a sudden. We went and got more produce, came home, and I decided that I would rather go to bed at 6:30 p.m. than drink a juice. I woke up just a 1/2 hour ago and was starving, but knew if I had a juice it was NOT going to stay down. So I had a piece of toast. I know my body's limitations, and it was either eat something of substance or feel horrible in the morning. So I ate toast. I'm going back on the juice fast thing tomorrow, but I'll tell you something - it feels like we've been on this a week and not just 2 days...
